Dang. We've finally reached the end. And it's been exactly four years (as of the date the comic is posted) since Ulti and I began this version of the project. It's been a wild ride, and I've learned a lot about writing, story structure, characterization, and how to work with someone else on a comic in that time. I mean, just looking at the beginning pages of this comic should tell you all you need to know about my growth as an author since then.

I know I've said it on every single milestone page there's been, but thank you all so much for reading this. It's overall been a pleasure to make, and hopefully, a pleasure for you all to read.

And of course, my growth as an author probably wouldn't have happened without the help of Ulti. Our relationship started off as pretty much just co-authors, but in the later years of the comic, I've come to think of him as a friend. He's helped a lot, and I somehow doubt I'd even still be on this website if it weren't for him.

And just to address it, I've seen some people asking about a sequel. I feel like we've wrapped up this story pretty well and it stands on its own, so no, there will not be a sequel to this comic.
Does that mean Ulti and I are done making comics together? Nope!

I won't give any specific details, but we've been talking about our next project since October 2015, and I think I can speak for both of us when I say we're excited to officially start working on it. It's gonna happen sometime this year, and I'll make sure to post about it here when it does begin. Keep an eye on the news posts!

And if you'd like to keep up with Ulti and I until then, we should both be around. I'll be working on my other sprite project, Re:Kirby, as well as my drawn project, Super Minion Brothers, and of course, you can find my art on my Art Gallery, or my Tumblr Art Blog.

As for Ulti, you'll be able to keep up with him here as well, both on his sprite comic Kirby Adventure, and his drawn CYOA project, Shards of Krino.
You'll also be able to hear his voice over on YouTube doing Let's Plays.
(Shameless plugging, ahoy!)

All that being said, thank you again for reading, and for the last time on this comic... Ciao!

Hey there, Ultizeta here. While this was mainly Nash's project and he's the one who really deserved to see it off, I as the advisor still have some things to say.

When it came to partnering with the Luigi_96 of the old days, I'll admit... I honestly really didn't care that much. Super Mario World: Redone was a mess of a collaboration that spent a lot of time stepping over each other rather than truly trying to make something together, and when he asked me to help out on his rebooted Rise of the Waddle Dees, I basically said "sure I guess" but didn't... really do much? Our private messages were spread apart and lackluster, I was left in the dark most of the time, and when I had to okay a page, I rarely really even properly critiqued it. Why would I have? I had my own rising Kirby Adventure comic to worry about, I didn't have the time to focus on somebody else's project.

That's when the original Dee Army failed, and this new one took its place. When I initially stuck around to help, I actually did start providing more of an actual behind-the-scenes help, mainly because Nash was more talkative and actually would ensure I gave the go-ahead on new pages. With that in mind, and knowing that he was taking it more seriously and really valued the opinions I gave, I subconsciously started to actually care about the project until I was just as involved and enthused about it as he was. Skype messaging also led to this development as it provided faster conversation and planning than SJ PMs.

I may not have been a benefit to the comic at first, but I definitely learned how to treat it with the respect it deserved. Through the Dee Army, I personally learned over time to critique, something that led into the creation of Ulti Reviews, I learned how other authors share the enthusiasm for writing that you do for your own content, and that good things happen when you don't neglect your responsibilities. I could talk about the kinds of writing and visual content I helped Nash out with, but that's not important. What is is how this comic has helped me evolve and become a better writer, creator, and even person than when I went into it mindlessly back in 2010.

It's been a long and interesting ride with this comic, but I'm glad to have been a part of it, and it's also a great feeling that something I worked on actually concluded properly for once. Lookin' at you, Yoshi & Kirby.

So this is it...
Okay! Looking forward to new collaboration projects between you two.

See you around!

@Fighter Dee: Thanks!

:D

...I'm kind of embarrassed that I don't have anything actually significant to say. Like, I wasn't reading this from when it started or anything - I kinda found this sphere of Kirby sprite comics well after its establishment.

But still, it's been really fun to read through and follow when I did find it (yes, even the bumpier sections)! And I'm definitely looking forward to what you and Ulti come up with next.

Reply ForestFire, February 3rd, 2016, 3:08 pm

@CapedLuigisYoshi: It's okay, I got nothing to say either, and I used to be friends with Nash! (Then we just stopped talking for no reason or something). I will say that this comic has been pretty dang good, and I too look forward to seeing what happems next with these two.

Reply Nashew, February 3rd, 2016, 3:41 pm

@CapedLuigisYoshi: Thank you for what you did have to say anyway. Your comments have been appreciated as long as you've been reading~

@ForestFire: That happened when DoMP/SparkStory died. It was kinda out of my hands. :T
Anyway, thank you~

I guess that means Sapphire and Halzen had an extra life, eh?

Anyway, I can't wait to see your next project with you two!

@DeeBert: Thanks!

Congrats! I deeply envy your perseverance, yet I really enjoyed reading the comic so I'm thankful that you have it instead of me right now. Congrats again, and I hope you the best of luck in both of your future works!

Reply Nashew, February 3rd, 2016, 8:25 pm

@DarkNut255: You can borrow some of mine. =P
Thanks!

Whoah! This was amazing! Thank you for creating it; it was fascinating to read as well as so much fun as a comic!

@SkullKid: Thank ya much!

Reply SuperScratchkat, February 3rd, 2016, 8:13 pm

Great to see this comic come to a close after being rebooted so many times.

Will I ever be able to say the same for any of my own comics? Not sure. I'm slowly moving away from sprites as a whole and I don't know what that means for my comics.

But I'm glad you were able to finish yours. Good on ya, Nash.

Reply Nashew, February 3rd, 2016, 8:27 pm

@SuperScratchkat: Dude, I feel the same way. Re:Kirby is extremely likely to be my last sprited project.
Thank you! =D

Reply ethanpotato, February 3rd, 2016, 8:32 pm

Wow so the story ends...its kinda sad to see it go. But it was definitely worth reading. I'm excited to see what the else you will accomplish.

This comment is so late. Wow! This was actually a really great comic! Not as bad as I thought it was. Well done for creating this, Nash and Ulti! I have to say though, you two are very skilled artists.
